The Demonstration Bison Reserve is a facility belonging to Białowieża National Park. The reserve is used to present bisons, Polish primitive horses of the tarpan type, moose, red deer, roe deer, wild boars, żubroń (hybrid of domestic cattle and the bison), wolves, wildcats and lynx in conditions resembling the natural ones. The Demonstration Reserve is a significant tourist attraction, and is also used for classes on environmental issues for school youth visiting Białowieża.
The Demonstration Bison Reserve is open:
- in the season (from April 15 to October 15) every day from 9:00 to 17:00;
- out of season, from Tuesday to Sunday 08:00 to 16:00.
