Hajnówka – Orzeszkowo – Hajnówka “Following traces of the January Upraising” (blue trail)

The trail has a form of a tourist ring-road. It runs along the Forest borders to the village of Orzeszkowo with a monument dedicated to insurgents executed by a firing squad in 1863 and a cross from the Second World War installed by the inhabitants grateful that their village was protected against burning. Then the trail enters the forest and leads to the nature monument “Car Dąb” (Tsar Oak). It is counted amongst the largest trees in the Forest and although it has been dead for several years now, it still stands guarding the forest. Turning east we will reach the narrow-gauge railway tract. The trail passes the nature reserve “Głęboki Kąt” (Deep Nook) established to protect the boreal spruce forest. The trail ends in Hajnówka.
